Envisioneering Appoints Director of Operations
The Hire Marks Company’s Move to Manufacturing

St. Louis, Mo. (August 31, 2007) St. Louis Envisioneering Medical Technologies is adding to its management team as the company progresses from technology developer to manufacturer.  Envisioneering has hired manufacturing and operations veteran Michael Belgeri as the company’s director of operations.

In this role, Belgeri is charged with creating a manufacturing system that supports product reliability, ongoing technology enhancements and higher sales volumes for Envisioneering’s TargetScan system, a first-to-market prostate cancer diagnostic and treatment system.   Belgeri brings more than 25 years of engineering, manufacturing and operations management experience gleaned from senior-level positions with companies like King Innovations and Mallinckrodt.

“I’ve been a part of organizations with very aggressive growth challenges and have successfully re-engineered processes to meet growing sales demands, increase capacity and improve efficiencies year after year,” said Belgeri.  “With Envisioneering’s accepted technology platform, the company’s focus on continued product enhancement and streamlined manufacturing systems creates a corporate infrastructure that will sustain long-term sales growth.”
Today, Envisioneering’s TargetScan system is available in select urology and brachytherapy clinics across the United States.  The device also is in use at some of the nation’s leading urology and radiation oncology institutions, including New York University, Washington University in St. Louis, Duke University, the University of Florida and Emory University.

“By employing such an experienced director of operations, Envisioneering is now well-poised for its next growth phase” said Robert Mills, Envisioneering president.  “As sales interest increases in both U.S. and foreign markets, delivering systems efficiently is paramount.”

About TargetScan
The TargetScan system is unique in that it combines a stationary probe with 3-D imaging and GPS-like prostate mapping.  This technology allows physicians, for the first time, to precisely plan and undertake a multi-sample biopsy of a targeted prostate tissue mass and record its exact location. Current procedures require urologists to hold and pivot a probe with one hand, while performing a needle biopsy with the other hand, which some physicians say can lead to missed cancers.
